Player Assists Statistics
The table above shows the tally of assists made by each player, and is sorted in order showing the player who has made the most assists in first position. Apart from that, the table shows how many appearances (both starts and subs) and minutes each individual player has played. We have also calculated the assists made per 90 minutes played, as well as the minutes needed for the particular player to make an assist.
ꦿ This table should make it easier to spot which players have been providing their teammates with the best service, and who was wise enough to pick out a prolific goalscorer with his passes, time and time again.
We suggest looking out for a combo of low minutes per assist or a high assist per 90 ratio♔, and a minimum of at least half the team’s matches played. This will eliminate a few exceptions who managed to get a few assists despite spending a short time on the pitch.
🌸 You may also filter the list to only see players from the Premier League or any other leagues you wish to. The tool is great for managing personalised content for a particular team or player. If you type in a country, the names appearing in the list will be of players who play in that country.
🔯 For instance, if you type in England, you will see a list with players playing in the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two. You may also filter by any given competition from the drop-down list provided at the top.

Assists Betting Markets
When it comes to betting on assists, there are not many betting markets available, especially when compared to how many there are for goalscorers in a match. The most popular one is the Anytime Assist ꩲmarket, in which punters place a bet on a particular player to make an assist at any point during a match.
However, bookmakers do not always offer this betting market, especially if the match is not from the top leagues and competitions in the world. One would normally find this betting market available in matches from the Premier League, FIFA Competitions and UEFA Competitions.
♓ Also note that markets may become available closer to the date, when bookies have a clearer idea of who might be playing, particularly those playing from the start of the match.
Identifying an Assist
Assists can come from anyone on the pitch, even the goalkeeper! However, identifying an assist isn’t always a simple task due to instances such as:
-
♈opposition players coming in contact with the ball without changing the direction of the pass before the goalscorer receives it and scores;
-
﷽whether a player who won a penalty which was then scored, should be listed down as having given the assist or not;
-
🐼similarly, when a direct free kick is scored, whether the player winning the foul could be awarded the assist or not.
Given the above points, bookmakers tend to outline which rules or regulatory board’s decision🐈 they will be abiding by. For example, in a Premier League match between Manchester City and Chelsea, betting sites will stand by any decision made by the English FA.
Other Betting Markets Related to Players Assisting & Scoring Goals
ꦬ Assists are crucial in the build-up to a goal, and that’s why assist betting and goalscorer betting are similar in many ways. As one may assume, the number of betting markets available for goalscorers is higher than those for betting on who makes the pass.
Most betting sites, in fact, offer quite a variety of markets related to players scoring goals, such as the Anytime Goalscorer, Wincast, Scorecast, as well as the Team Goalscorer (first and last).
Some matches will also have a Timecast market available. For this type of bet, you must guess who will score the first goal and during which time bracket he will score it. Normally, the time brackets are split as follows: 1st – 20th minute, 21st – 45th minute and 46+ (second half).
Assist Tips
When it comes to predicting a player assist, you'll need to keep in mind a number of variables which could affect your prediction. Some of these could be:
-
Goal-scoring history between the two teams facing each other – without goals, there can be no assists.
When trying to predict who will make the final pass, it can help to identify possible goalscorers. Betting on a set piece taker is a good way to increase your chances of success𝐆 since they tend to get a few assists from corners and indirect free kicks.
Study the team’s recent goals༺ to identify whether the team likes to play through the middle a lot, if they make use of searching balls over the defence, or whether they play the offside trap or prefer to mostly operate on the flanks. This could help you decide between betting on an attacking midfielder such as Bruno Fernandes, a holding midfielder such as Jorginho, or a full-back like Andy Robertson or Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Assist Accumulators
If you wish to put together a bet slip with more than one player to assist, you will usually need to choose the bets from different matches. If you’re feeling particularly sure and wish to bet on two players to assist in the same match, you may create this bet using a bet builder tool – providing the betting site you use offers this functionality.
If you haven’t ever placed an accumulator, we suggest you check out our guide to accumulator betting🧔, which will guide you through all you need to know on the subject.
Alternatives Betting Markets to Player Assists
ꦺ Some teams have got a main player who seems to be pulling all the strings (assists) for the team, while others do not heavily rely on one or two players. This makes betting on some teams and players a bit more complicated. If you do not feel confident in what you’re betting on, we suggest changing the angle and looking for a different betting market which might suit the information you have a bit better.
𓆏 Some alternatives to betting on which player will manage to make an assist could be betting on one of the following betting markets:
Over / Under 2.5 Goals
🥀 This is one of the most popular goal markets around, which simply requires predicting whether a match will have a total of more or less than 2.5 goals.
-
Here we suggest checking out our over 2.5 match goals stats page🧸 so you can get an idea of what’s been going on across different leagues around the world.
Team Total Goals
This market lets you predict the amount of goals one team will score in the match in question. It is similar to the Over/Under market, but only focuses on a particular team. For example, in matches such as Chelsea vs Newcastle, you could bet on Chelsea with over 2.5 goals or Newcastle with under 1.5 goals – or maybe both, using a bet builder.
Again, ThePuntersPage offers total team goals stats🐎 which can help you pinpoint trends from different teams in various leagues.
Both Teams To Score
Quite a straightforward one here. It’s a yes or no question: will both teams in the game score or not? Keep an eye out for teams with a solid defence facing teams with a poor attacking record,🐭 or matches between two attack-minded teams that typically wouldn’t mind conceding during a game, as long as they’re scoring more than their opponents.
Our BTTS stats page🧸 will help you pick out the teams that have the highest percentage of matches played in which both teams have scored.
There are other different markets that you can bet on such as Over 2.5 Goals so be sure to check them out!

Assists Statistics FAQs
🌼An assist is considered to be the pass, cross or throw which gets the ball to the eventual goalscorer.
꧑Assist per 90 is a ratio used to calculate the amount of assists a player has made per 90 minutes played. This ratio gives a clear indication of how great a player’s service during a season is.
💜This is a betting market which allows punters to place bets on a particular player to make an assist at any time during a game.
🐲In the 2019/20 season, Thomas Muller set the record of 21 assists for Bayern Munich. Interestingly, new assist records were also set by players such as Lionel Messi in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A during that same year.
ThePuntersPage Final Say
Providing the ultimate pass for the ball to end up in the net is a task many players will attempt to do. This betting market shines a light on the importance of the “assist king” and gives punters a chance to place their bets – albeit on a task which is affected by a large number of variables.
